About the Campaign

The Reserve now, ride later campaign for Uber Reserve featured comedian and actor Ronny Chieng, acting as a smoke-bomb savant who uses foresight to book an Uber before a situation goes pear-shaped. The campaign aimed to highlight the convenience of scheduling a ride in advance for planned events or to ensure a timely exit from sticky situations, like a kids' party with sugar-fueled children or a highly competitive board game night with friends.

Post-Production - Green Screen Keying

Lovebug Films helped to craft these fun social edits off the back of the TVC campaign, first helping to build the offline edits. The footage was all shot green screen and had to be composited in Nuke into the locations for each creative execution. Nuke was a particularly handy tool for this job as it allowed for multiple keying techniques to be layered using both Keylight and the IBK keyer to preserve the fine details around the hair. Light wraps were also used to combine the colours between plates.

Beyond this Lovebug Films also supplied animation as well as a final grade. Check out the final films below!
