Pricing & Quoting Guide

Post-production quoting should be clear, predictable, and transparent. Whether you are an agency producer budgeting a multi-deliverable commercial campaign, a production company planning a remote post schedule, or a brand director looking for dedicated finishing support, this guide outlines how Lovebug Films structures rates and project estimates.

Two Flexible Ways to Engage

To best serve the varied rhythms of commercial advertising agencies and production workflows, Lovebug Films offers two transparent billing models:

1. Day Rate Engagements

Best suited for agency overflow, ongoing post-production sprints, open-ended briefs, or projects with evolving creative briefs. Rates can vary due to services and requirements.

2. Fixed Project Quotes

Best suited for commercial campaigns with locked storyboards/scripts, defined shooting ratios, fixed deliverable matrices, and strict calendar deadlines. Lovebug Films provides a single, capped project price covering the entire post-production pipeline from ingest to master delivery.

What Influences a Project Estimate?

Quotes are usually evaluated by four key production indicators:

  1. Footage Volume & Ratios: total hours of raw camera rushes (e.g., 2 hours vs. 20 hours of multi-cam footage). Influences initial ingest, sync, stringout prep, and assembly time.

  2. Deliverable Matrix: Number of cut variations (e.g., 1x 60s, 2x 30s, 3x 15s, 4x 6s across 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16). Determines versioning, subtitle mastering, and conform hours.

  3. Finishing Complexity: Requirements for DaVinci Resolve colour, Nuke, beauty cleanup, and sound post.

  4. Timeline & Turnaround: Standard production timeline vs. expedited weekend or overnight delivery. Compressed turnarounds requiring dedicated suite priority are quoted accordingly.
