Case Study: Uber Eats Cher Post Production

Lovebug Films was entrusted with the post production on this iconic campaign (featuring the icon Cher), optimising for various social formats with Special Group.


The main task here was to roll out the social rezises, which meant rebuilding some shots by extending them through matte painting in Photoshop and Nuke. To ensure the edits fit into a vertical crop, portions of the phone and backgrounds had to be rebuilt, as well as extending the endframe shot vertically. For the phone shot, this was achieved by manually painting in a new background fit for purpose, and rotoscoping the phone, which was then extended and composited back on top.


Supers were individually animated and applied in After Effects so that they each adhered to the various title safe zones required for each deliverable.
